I had never heard of this until I recently saw it in a store and bought a bottle. My youngest son informed me it is his girlfriend's favorite wine this time of year.

Good morning, Gill. I've probably had maybe ten bottles of wine in my whole life. Not a clue what is really good or not. Enjoy, folks.

Leaving for a matinee in an hour.

I'm having my third cuppa java, preparing myself to go out. It's still rather chilly.

For those unfamiliar with Glühwein, it is a kind of mulled wine which should should be taken hot but not boiled. It really chases the cold away.
Hi Guys. Any Glühwein available. Nothing like it on these cold December evenings.

Hey you all, It's me, I'm back but something makes me sad.
The rhyming has now gone away, that really is too bad.
But that's ok, I'll bring it back, now everything is fine,
And in case you didn't notice, I'm at the end of the line!!

I used to live in Hamilton, Ontario, home of the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. The treasure of that collection is one of the last flying Lancasters. Four Rolls-Royce Merlins. When that bird was in the sky, you knew it. I suspect that would fill your bill for big, powerful, noisy engines.CtZraWzHDGOwS1Tg

In 2014 I had the great pleasure and honour to see the two last airworthy Lancasters fly together, one of which is the one you mention. It was a fantastic sight and I was lucky enough to see them both on the ground at Blackpool Airport after the Southport Air show. They made beautiful pictures.

I've just dropped by to say Auf Wiedersehen,
A couple of weeks before I see you again,
I'm sure you'll miss me but during that time,
Feel free to sample the End of the Line.
Though please remember, and here's the crack,
Upon my return I shall take it back!

A few I forgot...

Robinson Crusoe
The White Horses
Black Beauty
Follyfoot
Alias Smith and Jones (Pete Duel)
The High Chaparral
Bonanza
Dad's Army
Benny Hill
The Two Ronnies
Morecambe and Wise
Everybody Loves Raymond
Frasier
Mythbusters
Young Ones
Bottom

...and more when they come to mind.hCIziU65nWHAyTZ1

Edit: For Christmas, I was given DVDs of the first two seasons of Hill Street Blues! I am enjoying it as much now as I did more than thirty years ago! Thanks, Mum!

Absolutely right, Larry.
the end of the line is nowhere near you.
If it was you would see me there.

This is definitely the World Rubik's Cube Championship held in Budapest, 1982. Not sure how I know that.
Feeling sad too. I will be home for Chrissy!
Especially as I will actually have to come home for it!

I cook a lot, though more out of daily necessity. I bake and decorate birthday and wedding cakes.
I weld and plasma cut things in metal. I ride motorbikes and less often, our horses. I really enjoy archery, both recurve and compound. I sew... I love creating
I also like playing words with friends.

Compound??
I prefer the recurve all day long. It feels more down to earth, more... traditional. Personal preference of course but all those pullies and cams just don't feel right to me.

This is the chapter with the biggest anomaly.
https://www.storiesspace.com/stories/drama/the-nurses-chapter-11.aspx#

It isn't as problem now as it was a long time ago but I know that one of the commenters never scores so it is fair to assume that the two 2s and two 3s were likely troll scores for some unknown reason.

The 2's and 3's aren't there now and the ones I had on some of my stories have gone too Has there been a troll vote purge?

Yes, Maggie has been taking a look. Thank you, Maggie.
It is odd though. She informed me that my four anonymous troll votes consisted of two from Moldova and two from Germany. I find this quite fascinating when one considers the content of that particular chapter...
A Hole.

Where on earth...

My first is in Mother but never in Dad
My second in Cousin who isn't a Lad.
My third is in Cooking though not in a cook
And my fourth is in written though not in a book
My fifth is in Michael but not if he's Mike
and my last is in Heaven or Hell, if you like.
So where is this place that I love to be?
The answer is here if you can but see.
A Ballad you say,
but a Dirge would be better.
I was looking for E,
would you go and get her?

She's not here you see,
Nor Rune at this time.
Not even Mandella
but me at end of the line!
Spent the afternoon watching Lewis Hamilton take his final victory of the season. Very much relieved that Nico Hülkenberg escaped unscathed from his awful crash.
I did enjoy Archery but have lapsed lately. I think I will take it up again next spring.
I love writing, as you all know.
I also have a love of all things miniature, the more detailed the better.
To that end, I made a model of a future scene from my 'Nurses' tale. I was so pleased with it that I have begun another.
