I think someone goofed here... or am I wrong?

See the guy with the red 'bats'? He is the ground handler or... batman!
You may be starting to realise that I always try to find an alternative to what is expected.

I am worth very much, and you cannot buy me.
Yet I am yours, if you like, completely free.
I am here for you, when you are sad
and I do not judge even, when you do things that are bad
I lift you up high, when you're feeling so low,
supporting you, protect you from foes.
I soothe your fears and ease your pain,
I listen to your worries, again and again.
I am there when you need me and not when you don't,
I know when you will and know when you won't
So what am I then, that will last till the end?

If you really want to be at the end, pick wisely which end you want to be at!

I've been to the Falkland Islands - RAF jet from Brize Norton about 7904 miles direct flight, not the friend that KoH speaks of above.
Also been to Sydney Australia - a cool 10,553 but not a single hop.
Many trips to South Africa - another 8,276 miles.

I also drive 5 minutes to work!

All of these have been with work - some pleasure.

I was fortunate. I flew BA! The Tri-Stars were being prepared for service but were not quite ready so The RAF chartered a Boeing 747. The service was great.
For the return, four months later the first trial flight of the Tri-Stars had been a failure and so, once again, British Airways and we got the same service as the normal passengers except that no alcohol was permitted.
They were the best flights I ever experienced since they were only about two thirds capacity and most people smoked then. I didn't so non-smoking was almost empty!
