WYE Buy an album based on hearing just one song?

Some wonderful music has come from Scandinavia. From Finland's neighbour, Norway, came Edward Grieg.

One of my favourite pieces is from the Peer Gynt Suite No.1 Op46. Morning's Mood

So many have covered this song, some incredibly well, but... None have yet improved on the original. Jennifer Rush, The Power of Love.

Good album. I listened to it on the weekend. The one review I saw trashed it and I am not sure why. It's not likely to be my favourite album of the year or anything, but I enjoyed it.

I was the same. As one commenter mentioned on YouTube, they are improving with age. I like it more than their earlier offerings.

Whilst looking up a wonderful Welsh singer, Mary Hopkin, I discovered that she is still performing. This is her cover of the Dire Straits song, Why Worry Now, along with her daughter Jessica Lee Morgan. To me, it has a distinctively Joni Mitchell feel to it.

A great cover of Gerry Rafferty's Baker Street. These youngsters have done an excellent job of this.
