Never ridden a horse in my life. I'll go with walking.

Explore a city or hike a trail? (In both cases, places you have never seen before)

Getting into a genre of music that you have largely ignored leads to interesting things, like listening to albums you largely passed over back in the day. Holy Diver by Dio came out when I was still in high school and I only vaguely knew of it until I got into metal. This morning, I had it on. Not necessarily going to be a favourite, but I can see why it is regarded as an important album in heavy metal. Here's a live performance. Lead singer, and founder, of the band was the late Ronnie James Dio, who fronted several bands over his career, including Dio, Black Sabbath and Rainbow.

When I was a teenager, my cousin was dating a guy who worked for A&M Records. One day, I received a surprise package from him. It contained a random selection of three albums. I hadn't heard of any of them.

They consisted of;

The Tubes - The Tubes

Dio - Sacred Heart

Supertramp - Crime of the Century

One of them has been played so often that I'm surprised it's still intact. The other two are still like new, virtually unplayed. I wonder if you can guess which is my favourite.

Here is a track from one of them. Take a listen, you might never want to hear it again! 🀣

I know Green Onions! (Don’t know the other.)

Check out my last entry on the 'What Music Are You Listening to' thread. It's a good tune.

I have read and enjoyed both. I suppose it depends on the mood.

Patricia Cornwell or Bernard Cornwell?

In connection with the This or That thread;

Booker T. and the MGs - Soul Limbo.

Both, but I'll go with on their own.

Green Onions or Soul Limbo? (I wonder who will get this... πŸ€”)

Dinner. I love music but hate dancing.

Music: Headphones or good quality HiFi/Speakers?

Another saxophonic blast from even further back. From 1978, even. Can you believe this was released 45 years ago?

Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street

Oops. Another missed edit. πŸ˜‰πŸ˜†

So everyone knows, that's been mentioned as well. I wasn't going to bring attention to it.

Oops, sorry. πŸ˜πŸ˜‰πŸ€£

A real blast from the past.

Live in 1989, Dave Stewart with Candy Dulfer. Lily was here.

I have just booked what for me will be the longest road trip ever, in September.

Day One: Ipswich, Suffolk (UK). 220 miles

Day Two: Kaatsheuvel (Netherlands). 210 miles

Day Eight: Hamburg (Germany). 310 miles

Day Fourteen: Delft (Netherlands). 325 miles

Day Fifteen: Back home.410 miles.

A total of some 1475 miles... plus days out!
