Congratulations to the winners and runners-up. There were some very good entries.

On Friday, I attended the funeral of my daughter-in-law's father who passed away suddenly aged just 70.

He had already worked out how his funeral should go and the final music as his coffin was interred brought floods of tears from all present.

How could it not when the piece he chose was 'The End' by the Doors?

Way, way back, when we were courting (do people still say that?) we would spend a lot of time on Blackpool Pleasure Beach (Google it). It was free to enter back then, as one could pay for only the rides one wished to use. The one place we enjoyed sitting was a food court called the Magnolia Café. It had a balcony where we could watch the River cave boats sail by and, above them, the Gold Mine runaway train would clatter past. In the background, the same music would play on a continuous loop for the River caves ride. Sadly, there is now an entry charge, which prevents people from just walking through and watching, or eating and drinking, as we used to. Besides, I have heard that the café no longer exists, and the Gold mine ride has become something else.

Today, almost 45 years later, I discovered what that music was, and wow, the memories came back like it was yesterday!

Probably not. I generally wouldn't want to intrude on their privacy. I may acknowledge that I recognise them and say 'Hi', but that would be about it.

WYE complain that the Ice Cream float that you ordered didn't have any ice cream in it? (It happened to me yesterday)

A South Korean murder thriller called Train. To be honest, I am struggling to follow it.

Having been an aircraft engineer, I have a rough idea, but I have never had the desire to pilot one. It is said that if flying was difficult, they would have the ground crew do it! 🤣

WYE crowd surf at a concert?
