Muckraking
"Mudslinging and muckraking--two words commonly connected with the pursuit of an elected office and the flotsam the campaigns leave in their wake.
"Voters seem fairly familiar with the term used to describe malicious or scandalous attacks against opponents, but the latter 'm' word may be new for some people. It is an obsolete word describing a tool used to rake muck or dung and used in reference to a character in John Bunyan’s classic Pilgrim’s Progress [1678]--'the Man with the Muck-rake' who rejected salvation to focus on filth."

Went to see the dentist and lost half a gram (or whatever a tooth that's half ceramic cap weighs). He got a bit over-enthusiastic with the freezing, too. My ear is still numb.

That is terrible, I've never heard of taking a tooth out through your ear. I bet that did hurt. Canada is very advanced in their dentistry.

Hmmm. Butterflies should go well with my afternoon tea.

Summer weather has returned to my part of the world. Stormy in the morning, then hot and muggy in the afternoon. Figured it was a bit early for September-ish weather.

Trying to figure out if I should go to the office on Tuesday. The VP wants a meeting to be in person but I might be able to go in just for that meeting. Minimizes my mask time. And my new computer might be ready by then so I could pick it up and bring it home to work on setting it up.

Don't know about you, but you talked me into going to the office (if I had one). I want a new computer too.
