Read an interesting article in local newspaper. *Guards will continue to work in the regional jail even if they get sick with the virus.* Went on to say they can stay in the jail to sleep and eat and continue to do their jobs.... Left me thinking do people really take this seriously, do they even know the life threatening possibilities from this illness?
Dearest Larry, it kind of sucks to have the pandemic and all those tests to deal with. But you always show such good stoic humor. But then, you have been fighting this battle for several years.
Guess I will try and get the kitchen floor mopped today. I know, calm down friends, everyone has a floor someplace they can mop. Lots of people are probably writing beautiful sonnets and prose or painting new images for the world to enjoy. But...hey, I'm happy with my floor today.
We don't have any cases I have heard of in our County - Shenandoah. Husband and I have gotten a cold. No fever and doesn't seem too bad. Husband went to Walmart at opening time of 7:00 a.m. and there was a line of about 35. He said they raced in the store heading for the toilet paper (I'm serious). He did see a clerk tell a person that had 2 huge bundles that one bundle was all that was allowed. People were checking out with two carts (?) each. A group of friends have decided to email daily updates to everyone else. Could be kind of boring (I hope).
Gill, you dear girl are the busiest person ever. I am upset that your Dad will be deprived of his swimming. And your aunt will miss you. Hoping too that your boys are getting everything figured out as best they can.
Bill, I too am hoping to hear that you got to visit the wife-unit.
I got my census done online today. Had gotten the second mail reminder and wanted to save the government sending any more.
I went to the Dollar General today just to get tissues, cold meds (husband), milk and extra cereal. No milk except Almond Silk so I got that to try. No tissues so I got him cheap paper towels instead.
Lots of my friends are already anxious at the thought of being confined to the house and hoping we can resume our lunches soon.
Thanks Larry for reminding us of DirtyMartini's passing on this date three years ago. Such a tragedy. A big loss to all who knew him or loved his work.
