Hey Sunil, where did you get those extra legs and arms?
Congratulations to the winners
and
to all the other contestants:
Thank you for the good reads!

And let me make this clear: My remarks were about the rules for entering the competition, not about the contestants. I would not have objected to any of them winning this, because they all entered within the rules of the game and therefore they were all entitled to a winning chance.
That depends on what you consider to be a ghost. Some say, a ghost is lingering energy. That would make it an natural phenomenon, but if a ghost is a conscious being, capable of action and decision, I would consider it alive.

Which one of these two do you hold for true?
I totally disagree. Even a chicken has emotions, anyone who really dealt with animals, specially mammals and birds, can tell you, they have emotions an moods just like we do.

What do you think is more dangerous, an agressively dominant dog or a frightened one?

Paul.. I think they must be getting close to picking a winner(s).. so we'll see if it made a difference.. you might have a bigger audience if what you are worried about actually happens.. but I reiterate what I said before.. I read most of the stories and our members kick some literary ass.. the quality of our writers is superb so it won't be a cakewalk for anyone to rush in and grab the golden ring..
To that Larry, I can only agree.

I was looking at the entries, to see, if I didn't miss any off them. I found, that there are a few from people, who apparently only joined this site for the sake of the competition.

Though I like their stories, I doesn't feel right, that people only come here for the chance to win some money.

Personally, I see no issue with people joining the site for the sole purpose of entering the competition...they may join for the money, so to speak...and stay for other reasons, like they like what they see...which is fine with me btw...
Most of them won't delete or deactivate their account, which ofcourse is nice for the statistics of the site, but which hardly qualifies as membership of this community. I maintain, that anyone who seriously wantss to become a member, won't be stopped by the fact they can't. enter in a competition right away. The question boils down to what stories space wants:a lot of members or less, but true and active members.
It wasn't even meant to be double. Still smiling btw
There's a right time for both of them. Ofcourse nobody likes to be the target of critisism, but that doesn't always make it unjust.

Scubadiving or skydiving?

Not if you think it is worth $100 dollars. I would not pay $100 for any steak. I know people that $100 could be a tip. It means less to them so they would. Me I eat chopped steak. I can almost afford that.

Is the internet, texting, twitter, facebook and these type of electronic media isolating more people from real human contact? Is it a trend we should be concerned about if so?

Yet again one, that is not easily answered. Yes, it can isolate people in a way. People can become so dependent on their virtual lives, that they loose contact with real life.
The other side of the medal however, is that it enables people to broaden their contact beyond what's possible in real life. We would not even know about eachothers existence without the www.
It also enables people with limited or no possibility to go out , to still have contact with other people.
Internet is a tool. It never is about the tool, but about why you use it and how.

What would you really like to do right now?
And I love you, my Maggie, mother of my beautiful children, love of my life, I always have, I always will

Are women, in polygamous marriages, happy?

Again a question with no simple answer. I think that it depends on how and why the marriage is polygamous. I can imagine women (and men too, I see no real difference here) to be happy in it, when it is fully open and with mutual consent. More so even, if it is a shared thing, where all partners love eachother equally.

When however it's a secret thing, it most likely happens while there is something missing in the marriage, meaning unually unhappines causes it. Even then, a person can be perfectly happy, cheating on his her partner.

Why do people travel on holiday, when they don't even know the beauty in their own country?

Numbers. They're used to count and to identify. To calxulta and measure. And sometimes we ourselves become numbers, in the burocratic mill, in healthcare and wherever we go.

why do we need signatures?
Yes, I have, walked straight out of the sauna into 25 cm of snow and dove right in.

What, not counting airplanes and helicopters and such, is the highest place you've ever been to?
the humming sound of the system fan in my computer
saxophone, Kenny G for instance

which rockband is best?
A small mouse and an elephant
Went out to jog one day
They ran along the countrylane
And chatted all the way

The pair then came upon a bridge
That crossed a little brook
And as they ran straight over it
It rattled and it shook

It bent and almost cracked
And it made such an awfull noise
That in the church six miles away
The rev'rent raised his voice

When mouse spoke to the elephant
He really had to shout:
"Remind me when we cross next time
I should not to stamp so loud"
