Mike Flannagan (who has adapted a few Stephen King books) has the rights to King's entire The Dark Tower Series. He's written the first scripts, and King is apparently pleased with them. The movie adaptation was awful.
Flannagan is also doing a Carrie series set in modern times, on Amazon, I believe. King was not on board at first, but after seeing some scripts, he is now enthusiastic about the new series. Flanagan was previously on Netflix and did some excellent series there.
I need to try Flanagan if I ever get back into watching television beyond YouTube.
Another on my "if I ever have Prime again" list is The Sandman, based on Neil Gaiman's graphic novels. Gaiman is in a shitload of trouble right now but was definitely a creative force back when he wrote the graphic novels.

Just watched the first episode of Something Very Bad is Going to Happen. Looks really good. The Duffer Bros made it, as well as Stranger Things, which I frikkin loved.
