Submission calls open now

Hey folks, 

Black Hare Press currently have a shed-load of paid and unpaid submission calls on the go. They take dark speculative fiction with calls ranging from novellas to drabbles - there are several drabbles to choose from at present. They’ll also consider reprints for selected calls.

I am considering submitting to one of their calls. There is an ongoing one called "Short Reads" for "dark stories of any genre" of 5000+ words. I have a mostly finished story of about 6500 words that might fit. Just debating if it is dark enough since it does lighten up a bit at the end (in the current version, I have an alternate version where it lightens up a lot).
