I have an eclectic taste in music. Even as a youngster, I was never fixated on just one type of music. The first album I bought was in 1972. It was The Singles, 1969 to 1971, by the Carpenters (Karen was my first and only crush, and she still holds that place in my heart today). In contrast, here is a track from the second album I bought in 1973 (Being at school, money was an issue, so I have more singles from that era than albums). The Album was Billion Dollar Babies by Alice Cooper.

You know, I am a big fan of Finnish metal soprano Tarja. But, um, a dark, gothic take on "Frosty the Snowman" might be a bit much, even for me. See what you think.

It doesn't work for me. It begins well but loses the sinister feel fairly quickly.

I prefer this for gothic Christmas.

A new video from Natalia Tsarikova & Heaven's Guardian. This is The Sirens of the Past.

I am trying to learn German from an app. It is not enough. Formal class for me, please.

History or Geography?

There have been some excellent songs associated with sporting events. While I have marginally more interest in Rugby (League or Union), I do have this wonderful song in my collection.

Kiri Te Kanawa from 1995, with World in Union

Now there's a choice! Probably a concert, since there are very few new movies that capture my imagination these days.

Musical Theatre or Drama Play?

Since tonight is All Hallows Eve... Here are Elle and the Pocket Belles with Dancing with the Devil.

I know, Jim, but the word you are working from is... Ingrate, not Village! 😊

Anyway - Ingrate 🤭

Depends on the occasion. I am not really a burger eater but I'll go Restaurant.

Steak... Bleeding or Cremated?

A song from the Nightwish album Imaginaerum that inspired me to write a story on another site. 😉

With Annette Olzon singing, this is A Song of Me.
