Whisky in the Jar was a great song by Thin Lizzy, Here, Metallica does it no harm at all.

I have just watched a couple of films on Netflix. The first, Hurricane, is a tale of the Polish airmen who fought in the Battle of Britain. It is absolutely dire! The CGI is like a low-grade video game and the portrayal of the RAF and Poles is ridiculous.

In contrast, the second movie is called The War Below. Apparently made with a budget of only £500,000, the photography and acting are superb. It is about a group of miners who tunnelled beneath the German Trenches at Messines Ridge in 1917. Whilst not entirely historically accurate due to the limitations of the budget, it depicts the true story of the biggest man-made explosion ever before experienced. It is said that the explosion was heard in London some 140 miles away. I highly recommend it.

Music, on the rare occasions that I listen to the radio.

Local radio or National radio?

I can say that I am not a fan of Ed Sheeran by any stretch of the imagination. However, here is a more than passable cover of I See Fire by German band, Feuerschwanz.

I'm good with a live stream. Concerts are too peopley.

Bob Dylan or Joni Mitchell?

I bet the picture above is of a famous singing group, but I don't know them.

Well, they weren't The Ronettes! 🤣

I can find no words in the English Language that begin with either CS or ICS so, in order to keep this thread alive, I will offer an acronym.

Iambics - icstest

Cellos are for weeping willows.

Erm, Aren't we supposed to begin with the last word of the previous sentence? 😳

Willows was the last word.

No. It’s part of Oahu, Hawaii.

Maybe this little joke doesn't travel well. I heard that Pearl Harbour was a hell of a state after 7th December 1941. 😴
