I love the thought of living in an historical apartment block in a city where the apartments have high ceilings and huge doors. Where at the end of the day, I would come home, close the huge wooden entrance door behind me, and shut out the hustle and bustle of the city. Then, I would relax and hear the traffic outside as just a very faint background sound. I could look out over the rain-soaked city at night whilst I was warm and cosy. (My Dad's brother's family lived in a large Victorian house in London, and I used to love going there for Christmas as a child.)

Ok, that's a dream. In reality, Rural. 😊

Big Victorian house or country cottage?

I just found this on YouTube. It sickens me that a country that can produce such wonderful talent as this, is being dragged into the mire by its "leaders"!

This is OTTA-Orchestra & Samara State Philharmonic Academic Symphony Orchestra - Royal Safary (sic).

You're always picking on me, Anne. But I like it! So how's this?---

I like it, Jip, and it all goes together! smile

Another wonderful Nightwish cover by Natalia Tsarikova.

This time, Creek Mary's Blood. It is nice to hear the finale in English, too.

No. smile I leave that to my pension provider.

Live for the day or look to the future?

There are many excellent versions of Roll Over Beethoven but ElO just seem to have the edge over all the others.

Oopsie! 2-2, 2-3, 3-3, 3-2. sadly, not 2-4. Sorry, Jim. 😢

Both have their pluses, but I have always leaned to Fall for some reason.

Listen to an old favorite album or try something new?

I have noticed that I often lean before I fall... oh, sorry, did you mean Autumn? 😋

I am always open to something new. One can listen to an old favourite anytime, but what if you missed something new and it never found you again?

Beethoven or Berlin?

If it's not windy, an umbrella (I have a light-up one, like in Bladerunner!)

Dismal, rainy winter evening (not windy), or sun-drenched summer day?

I was listening to a little Rachmaninoff. Not a composer that I have really listened to, to be honest. Although I am very fond of his Variations on a theme of Paganini.

Anyway, I was listening to this piece, Piano concerto No.2, 2nd movement, when I suddenly realised that it was extremely familiar. I am sure that the music buffs among us will know the song from way back in 1975... don't you?
