I bought The Last Templar by Raymond Khoury on Wednesday for £1, bargain! Started reading it in the shop a few weeks ago then didn't buy it, but on Wednesday I read the first few paragraphs again and it seemed to call out to me, so I bought it. After that I'm going to be re-reading Vladimir Nabokov's .
I think my favourite boredom cure is gabbling to my friends online and offline, too, closely followed by writing or listening to music - usually at the same time and dancing along. So many to choose from.

I'd go for a walk, it's actually a really good boredom cure as well.

Do you ever go out of the house but have no reason for doing, so just wander around aimlessly, lost in your own wee world?
I knew of it's existence from being on another site and then started lurking here. I read a story by a really great author and wanted to comment, so I signed up. Then came the poetry, almost out of the blue (pun unintended, sorry). I say almost because I was drinking the subject of the poems and well, she makes me rapturous.
Did I mention that my witches with lawnmowers are demon alien witches? Huh, looks like I'm winning again! Yaysers.
Bams (general insult in Scotland, in case you didn't know, oddly enough it can also be used as a greeting eg "awrite, ya bam, wit ye daein! Ttranslation: Hello, friend, what are you doing? I'm sorry, I rambled, I have a habit of doing that)
Circle_something here, also known as Andrew, you can use the two interchangeably, I'm easy. Just here to kick around, have some fun, get my writing on and read a bit too. I'm a friendly sort, laid back to the point that it may look like laziness but I'm just letting life flow at a leisurely pace, a bit random and oh yeah, no matter where I am and who I am with, I like to hug.
When shopping, I have to put the items on the conveyor belt (if I'm not using the self service checkout) in a certain order and the "Next Customer" divider has to be completely straight.
I tend to write late at night with no clothes on but when I write during the day, also with no clothes on (I'm hardly ever dressed) I have to have my music loud, not so loud to disturb the neighbours, I hope, but loud enough that I can hear it over my clacking on the keyboard. Also for some of my stories, I like to have my Kitty ears on.
