The she wolf hunkered between the tree fall as the snow fell. The fresh kill at her feet. She looks up as the old bear hobbles away. His ancient body forgotten by better days. The snow falling was a white curtain slowly engulfing the old bear before her eyes. She watches as he stumbles and regains his feet. Then as if in a dream he disappears into the flurry. She knew she would never see him again.
