The Idolater Unrequited

You leave me breathless,
Excited and aroused
But ultimately frustrated
Ours is a love than can never be
Not that it's wrong or anything
Only totally impractical,
That's all.

You are so far away,
Socially and geographically,
That our paths are unlikely to cross
Anytime this side of hell freezing over.
Besides, what would you want
With the likes of me?
I'm nobody

I'm just the guy who worships
The ground you walk on
Who is transfixed by your image
Every time I see it
On TV or on a poster
Advertising your latest movie
You are a superstar

I'm a fan
I always have been
Right from the start
When you were up and coming
And making a name for yourself
I was a fan even then
Your number one fan

I love you
I know what I feel is real
Even though I also know
You will never love me the same way
It doesn't matter
The way I feel about you means
I forgive you anything.

Maybe you do know
About me
And how I feel about you?
Maybe, but unlikely.
It's my favourite fantasy
The one I imagine most
When I miss you.

Maybe I'll make the effort
To come and visit you
In your grand home
One of these long lonely days.
It would be amazing
To meet up at last.
Would you like that?
One of my favourite places to be. This is Amboseli, one of the last places where you will find the large herds of Elephants and some of Africa's most iconic big Tuskers. The herds move between the forests of Mount Kilimanjaro, in the background, to the dry dusty plains and the swamps of the Amboseli eco-system. In the early mornings, a sight to behold, is the elies emerging from the forest, kicking up the dust as they head for the swamps, to spend the day feeding, drinking and wallowing.

I didn't, you go forth in the line to find it. Will stand here at end of the line and look for it.

The simple things in life such as laughing, spending time with family and music.
Andy is blessed to share his life with such a gorgeous special dog like Ozzy.

I like to chat with my boyfriend several times a week.

I heard someone say they loved someone too much. Is that really possible, to give or have too much love? (Sorry so philosophical)

One of your most adorable traits is that you ask the nice, simple-to-answer questions, Molly

I actually belive that you CAN love someone too much: the kind of love where your own personality and character gets subsumed by your partner's so that your identity becomes lost. To me, that is unhealthy and a little dangerous. I believe that one should always keep a little bit of oneself back - private - from your partner so that you have that to fall back upon should the relationship sour.

I hope that helps a little bit...

Control freak or just organised?
I like to cook but it always makes me feel so special when someone cooks for me; so to be cooked for.

Not if you think it is worth $100 dollars. I would not pay $100 for any steak. I know people that $100 could be a tip. It means less to them so they would. Me I eat chopped steak. I can almost afford that.

Is the internet, texting, twitter, facebook and these type of electronic media isolating more people from real human contact? Is it a trend we should be concerned about if so?

Yet again one, that is not easily answered. Yes, it can isolate people in a way. People can become so dependent on their virtual lives, that they loose contact with real life.
The other side of the medal however, is that it enables people to broaden their contact beyond what's possible in real life. We would not even know about eachothers existence without the www.
It also enables people with limited or no possibility to go out , to still have contact with other people.
Internet is a tool. It never is about the tool, but about why you use it and how.

What would you really like to do right now?

Go to bed and sleep, but it ain't happening

Late night chat on the 'phone or a love letter/poem left on the pillow?
The answer to future global feeding
Could well be selective breeding
We could just eliminate
Those we don't rate
As people that we'll be needing!
