I wish the demand from the East would stop and the rest of the world would wake up!!
More than half the rhino species are already extinct, the rest could be within the next 5 years, same with Tigers. More Tigers live in captivity than in the wild. At the rate of the slaughter elephants could too be extinct within the next 10 years, along with Lions. I have lost friends and colleagues to this war but we will not give up, but the world needs to know, this is not just about saving these absolutely magnificent creatures, this is not just a war in Africa, this is a War that involves everybody, the entire world. This is about terrorism with Al Shabaab, Al Qaeda, Sudan's Janjaweed, Koni's LRA (Lords Resistance Army) and other smaller groups, all using Ivory and rhino horn to fund their activities.

writing space in my lovely homely comfortable studio where the chairs are soft and the light is good, the birds feed at the window, jumping around in the jasmin and honeysuckle and the likelihood of tripping over a snoring dog is high (so maybe its not such a good gift after all) oh well... ho hum...
