I've tried writing during the day with no success. I just end up staring at a blank screen. The best time for me is when everyone has gone to bed and when I'm totally exhausted. Often when I wake up the next morning to edit the story, I cannot remember most of what I wrote the evening before but for some reason, it works.

I prefer long stories when I am reading books, but online I have a harder time staying with a longer story, unless it's broken down into chapters and I can come back to keep reading.
Jim Butcher, Robin Hobb, Jack McDevitt, George R.R. Martin, C.J. Cherryh: They always deliver the goods for me.
Looking for a new hat tomorrow.
I rarely use my mug. Looks like it's got a dead spider in it at the moment. And an old Tootsie Roll. Hmm, guess I could eat one of them.....
It sounds like a whale snoring to be honest.
Some of my writer friends have been asked to use a pen name to see if sales will improve. They can be relaunched as a new product. Kim Harrison originally went by Dawn Cook. Robin Hobb started out writing as Megan Lindholm. Tate Hallaway is really Lyda Morehouse. Sometimes they use a different name for YA titles versus there adult fare. While sometimes it is the author's choice to use pen names, most of my writers have been asked by the publisher to try a new persona. Robin's fantasy books do have a different feel from her titles as Megan. Writers write, but they also have to find a market that will buy there work if they hope to keep getting new contracts. With all the flux in publishing these days, the bottom line is really impacting who gets asked for more books and who is left looking to reinvent themselves.

I cherish the memory of sitting on a park bench on a lovely October evening with my best friend by Lake Harriet. We talked and laughed and simply enjoyed being with each other. It was so strange and wonderful to actually be together in the flesh. The ten days we spent together on holiday are my favorite memories. It was the most fun I've ever had with anyone.

My life is too predictable, I just want to pack up and go somewhere and do things I normally would never do. Anybody want to come with me? :d/
