That's good advice, James, I like it.

Justine, you could also try picking a category you haven't yet written a story in, one you don't necessarily think about or read, even.

Or write a meditation on the problem, give vent to the writer's block, a musing on the frustration of the problem. Who knows, facing it head-on like that might kick it to the curb and you can get beyond it.

Sadly, I'm not much help, I think my writer's block has taken up permanent residence. If you find a solution, share it here, please, and good luck.

I shall, thank you so much Gypsy!

Have you tried just looking for a random image and writing a story around the picture? Like a "Cabin in the Woods", "Sad Clown", "Play Grounds", "Waterfalls", "Clocks" or "Moonlight on Water". Perhaps looking at some of the images that are posted in the forums might help. I certain there might be a story in some of them.....

I shall give it a try. Thank you hun
Seriously guys, I am stuck in writers block and I need something inspiring to help me write again. I haven't written anything since October! Please, can you help me out?

James, I'm not a steak afficionado but the manager might know why. Lol

I saw this poem for the first time today and it broke my heart and made me cry:

But You Didn't
By Merrill Glass

Remember the time you lent me your car and I dented it?
I thought you'd kill me...
But you didn't.

Remember the time I forgot to tell you the dance was
formal, and you came in jeans?
I thought you'd hate me...
But you didn't.

Remember the times I'd flirt with
other boys just to make you jealous, and
you were?
I thought you'd drop me...
But you didn't.

There were plenty of things you did to put up with me,
to keep me happy, to love me, and there are
so many things I wanted to tell
you when you returned from
Vietnam...

But you didn't.
