I thought maybe some people here would appreciate this shirt...

I like that!

I really like the idea of that competition but the reality would be a different matter for me.

I'd have to ship my husband and kids away for the weekend, turn off the phone and hibernate. It'd be a good challenge though.

Are you thinking about giving it a try?
I've just finished The Bodies Left Behind by Jeffrey Deaver. It had so many twists and turns I couldn't put it down.

I'm onto Motor Mouth by Janet Evanovich now for a change of pace.
Thanks for all the hard work you've put into posting these opportunites for us here, Alan. It's really appreciated.

Both of those have trouble written all over them for me.

You'll change your mind when you find out I'm vegetarian!

Found out today that I sold my fourth story this year...

So, I'm rather happy about that...

Out of 11 stories I've submitted to paying e-Zines since November 2010, I've sold 4 and had 7 rejected...not bad, I think, considering none were actually written with the idea of selling them in the first place...

As far as poems go, I'm 0 for 8...I've submitted 8 poems to the same paying e-Zines, and so far they've all been rejected...

Doing a bit better with the non-paying e-Zines in that regard...but, it's nice to actually get paid...

Congratulations, Alan! It's good to see your hard work paying off.

Your story sounds interesting, Cg. I've always enjoyed romance novels.

I hope the editing goes well for you. As strange as it sounds that's my favourite part of the writing process!
I've just started "Beneath the Skin" by Nicci French. From the information in the blurb I don't think it's one I'll be reading just before bedtime!
I'm just being nosey and wondering what everyone's up to lately with their writing. Do you have several projects on the go at once or are you focusing on one particular story?
sugar.

Going to the movies or watching a DVD?
