I actually have to drive across town to deliver proof to the IRS that I paid them.
π²Apparently, the US government's accountants are no better than Canada's. If they received a payment and it was applied to your account, they should be able to see that, which likely means some drip didn't post the cash application or something (yes, I admin an accounting system among other things).
Good afternoon! Some heavy showers this morning but it let up by lunch time and was clearing. I have put in an order on a new set of wheels (don't get too excited, I'm replacing a Honda Civic LX with a newer Civic LX, nothing fancy). Not sure when I will actually get it other than the dealership has already told me the 2022 LX trim is sold out so I'll be getting a 2023 when they come in.

I battle the IRS on whether I owe them money or not (I already paid you!).
If it makes you feel better, CRA is just as big a PITA as your revenuers. And I say that as the son of someone who worked there for like 30 years (and married a former colleague as his third wife). He was in property appraisal though so only got to make life hellish for people incurring capital gains on property sales or inheritances.
Coffee is perking to perk you up. Tea is a steeping. Iced tea and lemonade are made and in the fridge.
After a cooler day yesterday, things are warming up again here.

Scott, you know my answer to that will always be PUBLISH it! Especially since you already have the formatting part down. You can always pull it back down.
We shall see. With no other writing projects on the go, fixing this up for publication might just be my current writing project. Need to refine my process for creating ePubs, too.

I won't mention what it is, but it's very angry, which should give you a clue
Let's see, an American writing for an anthology on a very angry topic. There's a few options there, eh, but perhaps one of the recent ones involving SCOTUS?
Nice day here after a rather muggy Sunday. Cool, sunny, breezy. Too bad I have to work, eh. Working at home this morning so wife can have the wheels, but have to go in this afternoon to do an interview for my still-unfilled vacancy.
As an experiment, I tried putting the three Tana stories together and used that to play with creating an ePub of them, mostly just to experiment with creating ePubs, something I have never done before. There's some editing needed (e.g. since they were published over such a long period, there's some redundancy to keep them standalone) if I want to make this into a novellette or novella but it might be a project to keep my mind active until I get something new going. Not sure I would actually take this one all the way to selling it on Amazon or Smashwords since it is more about me learning the technology, but maybe something I would distribute privately or under a Creative Commons license of some form.
Cool trivia: ePub-formatted ebooks are just html (web pages) with some associated files all zipped up. Of course, if you're selling them, there's additional security built in so it is not just a zipped up website, but for minor format fixes and edits, I can just dust off my HTML coding skills (used to run a church's website).
Coffee is hot and ready. Teas are Earl Grey and Irish Breakfast. Iced tea is in the fridge for those needing something cool. Have a nice one!

Done.
Cool. Good luck on the next pass. Hope it is not one of the ones where you go back and realize chapters 4-8 need a total rewrite or something.
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood Morning!
Coffee is black and strong. Tea is tastier but still packing some punch. Iced tea is fresh and ready. It has cooled off here but only for today, supposed to be hot and muggy this weekend.
