Lovely day here so I got my first walk of 2021. Supposed to be showers tomorrow then cooling off so I may not get another one in for a while. Oh well, one day of fresh air and sunshine is still better than none.
Green tea and a couple of those butterscotch marshmallow bars should end the day in style.
Went out to the mailbox tonight and did not feel like I was about to lose any fingers and toes (it's about a 2 or 3 minute walk each way, just enough to notice the cold) so I guess it is getting warmer here, too.
My son did his own tax return for the first time. Yay! So I'm back to doing only two again (me and spouse). He kind of hummed and hawed about whether he did his partner's.
An herbal tea and a donut before bed sounds about right.
Um ... neither. I hate driving trucks. In a pinch, I'd take the F series, though. Much prefer Ford to Chrysler.

I see chatter about high water. Rivers here have been high due to rain and warmer weather. The flood plains in this city are pretty much all park land so flooding mostly just shuts down the Thames Valley Parkway (a multiuse trail system along the river) and some playgrounds.
Been attending a virtual conference the last day and a bit. Some interesting stuff but conferences are definitely more fun in person. There's really not much of a social component to the online ones, at least not like the receptions and lounges you get at in-person events. I'm figuring I won't be doing any in-person conferences again until next year.
Sorry I'm late today but had a rather long, crazy day. Hired a student to augment my team for the summer, though, so something was accomplished.
Kettle is on. I'm having lemon-ginger herbal tea with some sesame seed tea cookies (I think that's a new one for Sara).
More like the Valley of the Cloud where I am at the moment. Grey and wet again today.

Oh, and I've ordered another truckload of mini-marshmallows. Stock is running low and we don't want Sara to be without.
