Beautiful flowers fill my garden.
Ringo certainly comes across as the most cheery and personable of the Fan Four. That's kind of attractive. And we're talking crushing on him, not having him play drums for you.😂 (I know, Ringo being a terrible drummer is a played out and I have heard some suggestions it is exaggerated, too.)
American rockers Halestorm dropped a live album and video of their concert at Wembley Arena from last December. And having listened to the whole thing yesterday, you can see why they sold out. Brilliant performance, especially from lead singer Lzzy Hale, who co-founded the band in 1997 with her brother Arejay.
First song I'm sharing is a solo performance by Lzzy.
And a full band number. Lzzy and Arejay were 13 and 10 respectively when the band started and their father played bass for the first couple years. While Roger Hale no longer plays bass, the band remains a family business with Lzzy singing and playing rhythm guitar and piano, Arejay on drums, and Lzzy's partner Joe Hottinger on lead guitar.
And for a change of pace, Lzzy has now stepped in as lead singer of eighties hair metallers Skid Row. Yep, Lzzy Hale is belting "18 and Life" this year.
And FYI, folks, besides James' comp entry, Sara's is up now, too.

My house is back to normal, and things are back where they should be. We have been able to enjoy all the flowers left over. Our backyard still looks festive.
I didn't even have a wedding and mine's looking pretty festive with my redbuds and lilacs flowering basically simulataneously. And the iris around the deck are in bloom, too. With the peonies coming soon, hopefully before we leave on vacation in two weeks.

OK, so the moderator must have felt particularly generous today as my comp entry has been approved!
Get real, you're probably a shoo-in for approval at this point based on your track record here and elsewhere. Will try to get to it today. Glad to have you back around.
And with that...
I'll leave you with some Tobermory Flowerpot Island in the coffee pot (not the flower pot), and some Earl Grey and English Breakfast teas. Hot water is available for other hot bevvies.
Later...
Good morning!!! Hope folks are having a nice Saturday.
There's some Kicking Horse 454 in the coffee pot. Teas are Assam and Cream of Earl Grey. Hot water is available for other hot beverages. I've washed the pitchers and refilled them with unsweet iced tea and lemonade. Sodas are stocked up.
I am in the comp now, or will be once the magic mod does their thing. Interesting to see the reactions. It's a bit different from my usual, at least for this place. The only past story here I can think of that's similar is The Goodbye We Never Had, at least in that both are fairly realistic, modern stories about human relationships rather than horror or fantasy.
I loved Utah when I went there. Was mostly hiking in the National Parks, but did visit St. George on our way back to Vegas where we were flying from.

Working on my comp story
YAY!! Mine is almost done (I think, I've ignored it today to let it stew a bit).
A few posts up, I posted about Unleash the Archers' new album. Their lead singer, who goes by Brittany Slayes on stage (real name is Hayes), has also been doing some work with Ayreon and Star One, projects of Dutch musical wizard Arjen Lucassen. From Ayreon's new DVD (from a concert last Fall), here's Brittany with The Fate of Man. It's an incredible performance from all concerned, but Brittany really stands out here. She packs a fantastic, and rather unique, set of pipes and is probably edging into my top 5 metal singers now. The two backup singers are actually great singers in their own right (the one further from the camera is the sister of my beloved Floor Jansen), making this one hell of a performance vocally.
