September the 2nd is National VJ Day isn't it? Well if you are in the US that is. It's the day in 1945 that Japan signed the official surrender document on the USS Missouri.

On a lighter note, it's National Blueberry Popsicle Day. That these two events share the same day is strangely profound.
Why is there always sooooo little time for Stories Space. Just when you get going you have to leave

Fuzzy and I had a chat the other day about things we remembered as kids. We had fun coming up with stuff so I thought maybe it would be a good topic.

Do you remember...

Blackjack gum
Sen-Sens
Comb machines
Choc-cola
Moon Pies

I have absolutely no idea what any of those things are ... Google here I come!

I'm guessing that Blackjack Gum is a brand of chewing gum. Comb Machines? What on earth... and Moon Pies sound disgusting sweet man! (ke)

Will come back with my findings biggrin
Silence ......

Isn't silence awesome .. then the phone rings! sad
Well it rained again last night which is much better than raining during the day! It is Father's Day here too so have sent an appropriate email to my father as he gets really down on Father's Day. Doubt it will do any good. Hope he gets it.

Soo Sunday 2nd September, 7:30am and I'm onto my second pot of coffee and am here catching up with friends. Today is the last day of NZFW and the sun is shining through fleecy white clouds out over the sea. I will miss looking out over the sea as I fly home tomorrow and have to swap it for walking by the Hudson, if I get a chance that is.

Big party tonight biggrin

I was going to call this thread 'What Are You Drinking?" but have changed the title to my stock answer
Also thought of 'Interesting Alcohol?' but that fits anyway.

Here's some interesting alcohol to start with.

From Marlborough, New Zealand, a great wine region, this is an eye catching label.

Now I know what you may be thinking and shame on you! Babydolls are a very rare breed of sheep, so small that they barely reach your knees. This makes them miniature enough to be kept in the vineyard all year round because they can't reach the grapes.

And this is the Australian equivalent
