Soft.

Bicycle or public transportation to work?

I've done both. For my current office, the answer is neither. Would need at least 3 buses to get here on our f-d up transit system and too far for bicycle commutes. However, I have done both in the past and certainly bike has its advantages and is more enjoyable. But in Southern Ontario, there's also winter and only certain very hardy cyclists brave that.

Cat or dog?

Dog. Don't mind cats, but never owned one. My dog, Vallon, I've had since a 4-week old puppy. Turned 13 in June. We've shared so much together.

Tabby or Siamese?

Tabby. I have never been that fond of Siamese for some reason.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Ha. Neither. In the beginning, there is simply 'I am.' 'I am who I am.' 'Tell them 'I am' sent [you]'

Long hair or short hair cat?

Long hair, I think. More mess but so soft and pretty.

Spaniel or hound? (switching to the other popular pet animal)

Spaniel. Had one as a kid. Broke its neck chasing rabbits at parents farm.

Clubbing or romantic candlelight dinner?

Dinner. Clubs are not really my thing.

Sports event or concert?

Sports event. Like music, particularly classical or bluegrass, but, in general, not a fan of modern pop concerts although some of its music resonates with me.

Drive yourself or take public transportation going to/from work?

Drive myself. Our transit system is a bit of a mess and it would take me two transfers to get to work. If I could move down closer to the next major East-West artery, it would improve, but for now that's my reality.

Taxi or ride share (Uber/Lyft)?

Hmmm.....

In the past, neither. Preferred to walk even if it took more time. Otherwise, taxi if downtown. Ride share in suburbs.

Zoo or nature preserve?

Nature preserve (or at least a wild animal park). Better to see them outdoors and free.

Stargaze with just your eyes or get a telescope?

Both are awesome when viewed from a night sky untainted by light pollution. The view from the deck of a ship away from land at night is incredible. However, a telescope, even a small one, greatly increases what you can see. Far more than the naked eye even realizes is there.

Pumpkin pie or Pecan pie?

A slice of each? I mean, I love both. Given a choice, though, I'd take pecan probably. Depends on whether the pumpkin has real whipped cream or stuff from a can.

Coffee or tea with dessert?

Tea, always tea. Unless not available, then coffee. But very strong preference for tea.

Desert always part of dinner or optional?

Very optional. In fact, it is basically an occasional treat for me. Wife comes from a culture where dessert, if it happens at all, is just fruit or similar so she doesn't make like my mother did.

CD collection or streaming service (Spotify, etc.)?

CD collections simply because that's what I started out with.

Writing an actual letter or email?

Email. My fingers can't handle a lot of handwriting anymore (osteoarthritis) and my handwriting is well nigh impenetrable anyhow (there is no truth to the rumour that Canadian spies use a font derived from my handwriting to obscure secret messages, though 🙄😉😀).
