@ Mentions

Any chance we'll ever have social media-style @ mentions here? You know, where you type "@username" and it alerts the user with that username that they have been mentioned (and allows people reading the post to click through to their profile). Most other forum software I use has them now. Just a thought that occurred to me in a thread just now.

This is something I can mention to the techs.

Just giving this a "bump" since I am finding more and more situations where I miss having this capability. I guess it's because I have it on almost every other social site I am on except this one (and its NSFW sibling, of course).
