It’s that time again, you fabulous, creative people! I love spring and so I’m giving you a spring theme. Wide open. Spring brings rebirth. Spring brings storms and rain. Spring brings changes in nature. Spring brings festivals. Spring brings so many images to mind. If you wanna win, you gotta bring more spring into your story than “It was a warm spring day.” Got it?

Each of the two chosen winners will be given enough site coins to cash out for $50 each.

And unlike other challenges, SUBMIT your entries on this site! We want to bring in more readers and writers.

Post a link (or title) to your entry here, so my judge can find you.

Any category is open (except microfiction since it has a 100-word limit.). Story lengths 500 - 2500 words. I know word counter can be a little off once published, so you are on honor system. I’ll include your entry if it’s close.

No AI generated stories, please. There are telling signs and your entry will be ignored.

Stories must obey all site rules.

Please try to remember to put in author’s note on your story that you are an entry in the Spring is in the Air writing challenge.

I encourage you to read and comment on the other entries.

The challenge runs thru midnight Eastern Daylight Time on May 10th.

Let’s have fun! smile

Idi, or isn’t he? Like the Ugandan dictator, I’m in. This Dada has spoken.

Damn April snow is messing with my mind… or is it?

Nicely done, Kentucky girl. Thanks for organizing this. 🥂

Iconoclastically incorrigible or just a silly dumb ass...

Kimmi, just want to make sure I'm reading your challenge right. We submit our entry through StoriesSpace with a link to your forum. Any category is open.

I just edited post. All categories except microfiction since the word limit is 500-2500. So, if you write poetry, it needs to be at least 500 words to be a valid entry.

And yes submit on this site. Post link or story title here. We’re hoping to drive up new stories and reads.
