We ate dinner at Cracker Barrel last evening and I THOUGHT OF YOU when I saw the peg game. I did change the arrangement a bit with colors and the left the 'hole' in the middle...all because I'd read this thread earlier!!

Don't know about the "sweetness", but that's what I did!

MY OCD is pictures hung on the wall have to be straight/level. My "calibrated eyeballs" are pretty darn accurate. Sometimes all the picture needs is to just be "touched" to make it level. My Dad told me many years ago that he was that way (I knew that) and that my Grandfather was really that way. Must be hereditary!

Another apparent OCD of mine is playing the piano. I have to be precise with each note and articulate it the way I imagine the song to sound. If it doesn't sound right to my standards I will play it over and over till it's perfect! (And if I mess up when I'm not testing, I restart the song.)

I have OCD, and some times it's bloody annoying but I can't stop myself from doing it.

I think the biggest thing is having everything even. It doesn't matter what number as long as it's an even number. If my TV is on, the sound has to be at an even five number. Five, Ten, Fifteen, Twenty, etc... This goes with anything else that has numbers showing.

I also have to wash my hands several times a day, even if I don't have a reason too.

Oh, this is one of my sister's hangups too. When we went to visit our mother a few days ago, every single picture on the wall was off kilter. She went and straightened them all, and made me stand across the room and tell her when they were perfectly aligned.


I should hang my head in shame for only just noticing your probably unintended pun of using the word "hangups", I should also hang my head for hanging my head.

Me too. That's why I asked. The other thing I'm OCD about is my towels and sheets. They HAVE to match. ALL the towels and bath rug have to be the same colour. Same with sheets and pillow covers. Oh and crockery and cutlery. I don't know how odd ones sneak into my kitchen but out they go! Pots and pans have to be the same set.... well crap... maybe I AM OCD.

I think you're mental. But, that's a bit rich coming from the man who has to put his clothes and jewellery on in a certain order.

When I stack the dishwasher, In the cutlery basket I have to put all the forks together, all the spoons together ( teaspoons and soup spoons both have their seperate little compartment each) all the knives together, then there is a 'misc' section of the basket for potato peelers and little kitchen thingies. Is that OCD?
