Hiding in the shadows, wolfgirl darted between the shafts of light without being seen. The scent of humans filled her nostrils and kept her fears alive. Peeking around the corner she watched as they went about their daily living completely unaware of her kind. Crawling on all fours she slid behind the couch and hunkered in cool anticipation of her prey. Soon the lady came in and sat down just in front of her. Slowly.. silently she raised to her haunches and leapt over the couch circling her arms around the unsuspecting neck. Her mom giggled in surprise and said "Honey, you know it's a school night. Quit playing and go do your homework!"
