The former is the first one where I can remember what I was doing when I heard it. I thought it was the most amazing piece of music I had ever heard until Robert Smith began to sing. I understood later when I lost a love and heard "Pictures of You".
Synchronicity was the first album I owned.
What piece of music has affected you the most?
Damn, that makes me feel old!!!
BTW - I would have to say 'Morning' from Grieg's Peer Gynt. I first heard it at school as a young kid (7/8 years old) and remember being affected by it in a way that I did not understand only that it made me feel happy somehow. To this day that piece of music remains one of my all-time favourite classical pieces... and still has the power to brighten my day.
