Coffee pot is full or fine Costa Rican dark. Teas are Assam and Red Rose. Hot chocolate mix and marshmallows are ready as is the kettle.

Last Fall, I put out The Healer's Secret, the story of healer whose dark past comes back to haunt her
I always intended to continue Tana's story, and now part 2 of the saga is out. The Healer's Power picks up from a mention in the first story of a town's healer having gone mad and fled during the events of that story. Now Tana has a chance to help that healer, but only by calling on knowledge learned from her father, the sinister Night Lord.
There will be a third, too, picking up from the ending of this one, but I am just getting going on it.

Oh my goodness, I feel awful, but am going to have to bail on the anthology. I hate breaking a commitment more than you know, but need to cut some responsibilities as I've picked up more issues with my parents. Mom's quit eating and Dad's had health issues surface this month that are going to require my time. Aside from the time factor, my mental health is suffering due to stress and heartache over my parents. And I've had my work responsibilities increased as well.
Again, I'm very sorry. I know sorry doesn't cut it and I understand your disappointment you will no doubt feel.
I won't be on here or the other site much for a while, but wish you all well.
Sorry to hear your parents are having troubles again. Take care of them but also remember to take some time for self-care. Burning yourself out doesn't help them.

I would love to pick it up but (a) full-time job that is eating up most of my weekdays and (b) I have not the foggiest idea how to go about it. That said, if someone who does know what they are doing can provide help and guidance... maybe. We would probably be looking at Summer release, though, by which time there will probably be another comp or two

I did the tour of the house last night. Even with the number of devices we have that auto-update, there's still a list of close to ten that I have to do manually.
And the sequel to "The Healer's Secret" is in the queue. I kind of want to rewrite the one-liner but no editing allowed now until it gets the high sign. And still mulling over whether I am keeping the current series title.
On to "The Healer's Heart" next. Not sure I will stick with that title. It should be the last of the series if I use the plot I have in mind. Wraps up Tana's story and puts some final closure to her backstory.
There is no truth to the rumour that this is what Verbs looks like getting his morning coffee before starting to write.
But I'm putting on a full urn anyhow just to be safe. Teas du jour are Tea Haus Breakfast (blend from my local tea shop, similar to an English Breakfast) and Earl Grey. Hot water is ready for hot chocolate or other teas.
Now, off to do a final pass on the story I have in draft. Would have done it earlier but Canada Revenue Agency needs their pound of flesh by the end of April (IOW, I was working on my tax return).

I think the sequel to The Healer's Secret (well, part 2, I still think this is headed for a trilogy) is ready to go. I've set it up as a draft but will probably give it one last read through. Thinking about the series title to use. I've got "Chronicles of Tana the Healer" in there right now but might see if I can some up with something a bit punchier. Though that kind of sounds like some of the series titles I've seen in the fantasy world of late, I love "A Song of Ice and Fire" as a title so I'm trying for something evocative like that.
Let's go out to the ball game. Let's go... yeah, it's that time of year again. Finally. Have fun!
Snowing here, but just light snow or flurries. Definitely a winter day, but spring returns on Monday it seems. Saw my first robin of 2022 this morning so that's hopeful, I guess.
Coffee of the day is Lavazza. Teas are Assam and Russian Caravan. Hot water is on and hot chocolate is ready. This week's marshmallow shipment is stowed and both public and Sara stashes are refreshed.
