Lol, don't tempt me, I can do raucous, which by the way is a fabulous word, must find more uses for it. Oh and how does one become a refined writer; just asking for a friend.π
Using words like "raucous" is a good start. π
Hi, Annie. Nice to see you. How's things down there on the other side of the planet?

Simple, Annie. Just eat a lot of sugar!
I used to eat lots of sugar and all I became was diabetic. π
Eye definitely functional now. But with the other one still needing to be done, I'm a bit lopsided. Then again, pre-surgery, I was lopsided the other way (the cataract was so bad I was half-blind on the left side) so I guess it all evens out in the end. π
Anyhow, since the bear has taken care of the setup, I'll just pour a tea, grab a Goofy and settle in.

10.2 All stories on this site are deemed the property and exclusive copyright of their authors. The submitter of the story is believed to be the original author. (On a side note, I am aware of what it says on the Terms and Condition, it will be removed shortly.)
And how many people who come in here to casually read stuff actually read the T&C at all, let alone at that level of detail. And, really, only registered members have actually agreed to that in a clear way that would hold up in a court. So, I will probably start adding a copyright statement and I hope that the functionality to make it automatic as it was in the previous software comes soon. Asserting rights to our intellectual property really does matter.
Is anyone else finding logging on being flaky again? I am mostly noticing it on PC where "Remember Me" seems to have stopped working again. And I just had to sign in to post this even though my avatar was visible at the top as if I were logged in.
I just became active on the other place again using the same browsers. Could that be a factor?

Some days I think I should have had all my teeth yanked out.
I had one yanked in 2020 after a decade of fighting with it. Still haven't done the implant. My enthusiasm for having my mouth wide open while strangers poke around in it is kind of low these days.

As I'm not sure how Mandella is doing today, I thought I'd get things started.
Mendalla. Sheesh. You're the second person I've chided about that this year. π
Definitely doing well. Have to put my old glasses back on to watch TV or use computer (because my improved left eye isn't enough to make up for my still mucky right) and I am trying to limit screen time at the moment. But my doc said all was going well when I saw him for my next day followup. Will book the other eye soon so I can ditch the glasses more.
And Irish Breakfast will go nice with a Mickey and a Donald.

A love triangle between an amateur writer, a popular American actor turned game show host, and a renowned British actor could make for an entertaining, if offbeat, rom-com. π
No love triangles here since I'm polyamorous but I see what you mean.
Still a triangle, just means all three vertices are consciously part of it.π

I'd say this isn't me losing it over the fact that WL (and Jane) will be returning to my screen on March 6, but then I'd be lying. In other words, one month till I get to leap into her arms for some long overdue snuggles.
(I might be a bit excited.)

Good afternoon. All's well with the eyes. I think I may be around more often, but we shall see. I am still juggling things to see what is the best way to operate until I get the right eye done. Starting to look like just wearing my glasses unadjusted is best for computer for now, but no glasses is better for generally living and getting around. I am also trying with the left lens out but the implanted lens in my left eye seems to be too different in power and colour filtration from the right eyeglass lens so the combo doesn't work that well.
Anyhow, enough ranting about my eyes and specs (or lack thereof). I see Da Bear made some Lapsang which I am missing badly since I left my Russian Caravan (a blend containing Lapsang) at the office. So I shall avail myself of some here.

And you'll make sure it is ignored for purposes of length limits in Flash and Micro? That's part of why I suggested Author's Note.
If the copyright notice pushes a short piece over the word limit, Iβd suggest adding a Note to Moderator stating that, to cover your bases.
Hey, Maggie. Long time no see. Hope all is well.

I miss making my spaghetti sauce. I make a nice big batch and it sits overnight in the fridge.
Yeah, that's what we do, too. We still make the same amount as when my son lived at home and then we fridge (or even freeze) the leftover for future use. Spaghetti sauce is good for that.
Goooooooooooooooooooooo ... What was I going to say again?
Oh, right, good morning.
24 hours until I get my new left lens. Cataract has been more noticeable of late but not sure if it has actually worsened or if I am just paying more attention to it now with its demise imminent. Right will follow later in February. We're going to set the date after we see how recovery goes. Since I may not be able to be on computer for a bit, a certain furry gentleman of the Far North will be my backup coffee and tea maker.
For now, there's some nice Costa Rican coffee brewed and there's Scottish Breakfast and Cream of Earl Grey in the teapots. Hot chocolate and marshmallows are on standby for Writergirl, Sara, and whoever else swings that way.
Cold weather continues here in ape-land, but at least the snow is holding off these day.
