It was not really a pickup line. It was just a statement of truth. I said, "You are the perfect person for me and if you think I am for you, then we should get married." Four dates later we were engaged.
Do you think marriage is becoming an outdated concept since people are living so long? Why?
I have done it many times. It is a truly joyful experience.
If you were driving at a high rate of speed and four people stepped right out in front of you, and your only alternative to hitting and probably killing them was to serve onto the sidewalk where one person was standing that would probably be killed; what would you do?
What if the four were octogenarians and on the sidewalk was a 8 year-old child; would that change your decision? What if the 4 in the road were 9 to 7 years of age and the person on the sidewalk was 80 years old, would you do it different then?
This is a question of morality and ethics that has come up in Philosophy classes.
Rarely, but I often do my nightmares.
Have you ever met someone so handsome/beautiful that you could not speak well?
Yes, especially since reading 'No Lie'.

Today is 3-14, Pi-day.
Hello Talia. Enjoyed your latest poem.
Going to see '10 Cloverfield Lane' today in 4D. Can not get it out of my mind, I am so excited.
What would everyone think of a parallel competition? Two simultaneous competitions with the same parameters/rules except one would be micro-fiction and one would be poetry; and you could enter both (with different pieces) or just one.
Welcome Phillip. I hope you enjoy your time here. Best of luck and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me or any other moderator. (you have already met Maggie)
I do not slap, but I have broken a few noses and a jaw once. Yes, I can be as stupid as anyone.
Would you take flowers from a funeral to give as a gift to a date?
"Complete" or "Finished"?
I have often had difficulty defining the difference between complete and finished. I mother sent me a little E-mail quip.
During a recent linguistic conference, held in London the question was asked to make that very distinction. The question from audience was this: "Some say there is no difference between 'complete' and 'finished.' Please explain the difference in a way that is easy to understand."
The response: "When you marry the right woman, you are 'complete.' If you marry the wrong woman, you are 'finished.' And, if the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are 'completely finished.'"
His answer received a five minute standing ovation.
Thought you might all enjoy this.
