An American animated post-apocalyptic science fantasy film. It was written, produced, and directed by Ralph Bakshi who did a animated version of 'The Lord of the Rings' (1978) and the X rated cult classic 'Fritz the Cat' (1972).

There have been many adaptations of the Bothers Grimm fairy tale and the names are not always the same. (even the number of dwarfs have changed)
The original story did not name any of the dwarfs.
In the iconic Disney animated movie 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' from 1937 had two names that did not end in Y. They are Bashful and Doc.
The latest reincarnation 'Snow White and the Huntsman' (2012) had eight dwarfs; Beith (the leader), Muir (blind elder dwarf possessing the powers of premonition), Quert (Muir's son), Coll, Duir (Coll & Duir are brothers), Gort (modern version of Grumpy), Nion (Beith's right-hand man), and Gus (youngest dwarf who develops a special fondness for Snow White).
The ongoing TV show 'Once Upon a Time' uses the 1937 dwarf names, but has added an eighth dwarf named Stealthy.
