I hear the steady hum and whirl of the fan in my computer.
It's just past 6:30 am and I hear a single bird calling and welcoming another day with its sweet melody.
I hear the slow (very slow) steady clicking of the keys under my fingers.
I hear the steady background buzzing and ringing of Tinnitus. It's always there, but I don't usually notice it unless I listen.
Most importantly I still hear the screams, yells, and laughter of my grandchildren from watching them yesterday.
I can't decide if it's good or bad that the most prevalent sound is not ready a sound, but a memory.
