Talia is going back to the office full time. Wah. Every weekday will be No Talia. Just me and the cats now. I am going teach them to do crossword puzzles.

Hot and sunny today - we have had very little of that this year, it’s been so rainy and stormy. So, I can dig it.

Comp is closed. I’ve read and voted/commented on everything by the deadline, albeit barely.

I can’t imagine a swimming pool would be practical in this climate, but it sure would be nice (as long as we didn’t have to tear out the garden). So, our own private pool.

Chill day today - no rain for a change! - I'll be feted early for Father's Day by the daughters, then mow and putter about the garden, then kick back with a Father's Day bowl of herb and watch baseball. Ah, the simple life.

We rented an Airbnb for an eclipse in October, and did one in Chicago last year, that is something we are be going to do more of. Cheap, and you get to stay in cool neighborhoods, not hotels in the middle of business districts. I REALLY recommend trying it

We just binged a handful of episodes of Based on a True Story. Kaley Cuoco is really good, it's a great show.

Nope. We can get a lot of moisture from the Gulf during hurricanes there, but that's about it. Tornadoes seem to be happening a little more frequently though

Bright and sunny now, but AGAIN a big rainstorm is supposed to hit this afternoon. Oh well. I like em. So do the tomatoes. I have a little mesh tent over the plants to keep animals from eating them, and it's protecting them from these crazy storms as well.

I'm not writing this week. Just burned out on it. Taking my foot off the gas pedal. Sigh. Took a very long walk yesterday, and got caught in the rain. I like dodging afternoon storms. And I don't mind getting wet. I'll take another very long walk today I think.

The Mets actually won a game, and treated it like they won the World Series. You gotta find hope where you can - they looked awful last night. But...they won!

That's about it. My brain is made of rubber this morning. Coffee and a cookie would be great.
