Anna - another song that both you and I enjoy !

I think it's a bit difficult to find, but my favourite version of this song is Natalie spoofing it up with David Armand the mime artist
at the 2006 'Secret Policemen's Ball'

Ladies and gentlemen, the coffees are on me. England just beat Germany in the European championships.

Hi everyone - If Verity is kind enough to treat us all to coffee, please let me buy cakes and cookies

Help yourselves !

Just love this!

I'm pretty sure I saw the girl playing 'Pinball Wizard' by the Who in a TV drumming documentary!

Yes, you are quite right, it is her. She has done several Who covers in the style of Keith Moon. She has also featured in a tribute to Ringo Starr.

In short, she is awesome!

It was a girl called Sina on a Sky Arts series called 'The art of Drumming'

I spotted her playing a drum cover of 'Sultans of Swing' by Dire Straits- one of my favourite bands!

Good morning all - may I help myself to a strong coffee ?

It's been a restless night with a head full of thoughts !!

Still raining off and on today - so I still can't persuade my two cats to let me sit on my own sofa!

Oh my goodness those KITTIES are too cute ! What are their names ?

Hi Denim !

The ginger and white one is Bruce (named after the shark in finding Nemo!) - he's about 20 years old, and his partner
in crime is a 10 year old named Alfie.

Bruce was an abandoned kitten that we rescued, and Alfie just decided to move in a couple of years ago from the house across the street !

Friday evening here in England, and we have had wonderful thunderstorms tonight in the West Midlands.

The power of nature can sometimes be frightening - and yet so awesome too don't you think?๐Ÿคจ

Thunderstorms are indeed awesome as well as frightening. We have been graced with an overabundance this year. My brother who grew up in Virginia asked what happened to the state he remembered, it looks like a jungle here. actually it looks more like the UK. Green, green, and flowers everywhere.

went to lunch with four of my friends today and as usual much laughter and fun. Our lunches drag on and on. But they should, why end?

Competition and 1,000 words. Even typing that gave me shivers. But I'm thinking, kinda'.

My love to all our group, my Nationals are in big trouble tonight - Nats 2 - Miami 8 in the bottom of the 5th. The cloud of doom is hovering.

I think The Norse God Thor was a little angry last night !

Thor is a hammer-wielding god associated with lightning, thunder, storms, sacred groves and trees, strength, the protection of mankind and also hallowing and fertility.

He seems to have calmed down now , so I'm just enjoying my first cuppa !

Good morning to the British folks, Miss Verity and Trevor. I'm going to wash out the coffee maker and put on some clean water for tea. The coffee ought to be ready in just a few minutes. Sara left plenty of cookies (biscuits) and everyone should help themselves.

The weather is doing quite nicely today. When I took Victor out for his walk we both reveled in the cool temperature. I even put on a jacket.

My Padres whipped the Dodgers 6 - 2 yesterday and will have two more games to play in a series. Yet the Friars are still down in 3rd place in the NL West.

I hope my latest poem from yesterday is being enjoyed. I had not wished to write here with the situation we were going through but it appears we will be here for the long haul so I'll be writing, of course.

Thank you for the kind welcome Larry - hopefully I'll be able to pop in for tea once I've navigated my way around this lovely place a little more
It's so tranquil here
