About

I wasn't born in the south, but I got here as quickly as I could at the ripe old age of 18. Funny thing is, when I go back up to the northeast to visit family and friends, they tell me right away that I have a southern accent. But when I'm home here in the south, people often wonder where I grew up - since, they tell me, I have a northern accent Personally, I think I have no accent at all any more, but it is a lot easier to speak in that slow southern kind of drawl. I love the south - especially the warm, short winters here. Although I loved snow when I was a kid, that is no longer the case. Lucky for me, if and when it does snow here, it melts by the very next day. Just give me sunshine and warm breezes and I am happy as can be. I love the south!

Interests
First and foremost my interests lie within my family - my children and grandchildren are my eartlhy treasure and I adore them all. Otherwise I love my God and my country; enjoy treasure hunting for vintage finds, antiques and anything else that strikes my fancy; reading; writing; learning; communicating with friends old and new; promoting patriotism, honesty and decency and everthing that goes with it - all these things are not necessarily in the correct order of importance to me.

Favorite Books
The New Testament; The Catcher in the Rye; Jonathan Livingston Seagull and others by Richard Bach; To Kill A Mocking Bird; The Hobbit; Alice in Wonderland; The Wind in the Willows; most anything written for the lay person regarding philosophy and psychology; heck - there are so many books that I've read and loved it's nearly impossible to remember the titles of them all so I'll leave it at this.

Favorite Authors
Erma Bombeck; Richard Bach; Carolyn Myss; Merriam-Webster; God;

Favorite Music
Classic Rock; Solid Gold Oldies; Symphanies; Celtic music; some country, but not all; Springsteen; Chicago; Elton John - so many, many, many that I love.
