A grandmother living alone leaves for work every morning to a nearby restaurant to wash the dishes. She washes them sitting down and hunched back, making sure they are spic and span with what little eyesight she has. She keeps her earnings safe and at the end of every month rushes to the bank to deposit her money into an account. This went on for 50 years.

She does not take a day off, and she does not delay in depositing the money either. Her life goes on with whatever little money she sets aside for herself. She doesn't complain and does not get angry. She has no one to call, no one to love and no visitors.

Suddenly, one day, she stopped coming to the bank. A kind employee who noticed her absence went out to search for her at the restaurant, only to find that she had passed away. A restaurant worker handed an envelope to the bank employee, saying she wanted them to give the envelope to the person who came searching for her.

In the envelope was a letter saying: 'I worked hard every day for myself. I saved for myself, but in the end, I realised that I didn't need it. For the first time in 80 years, I have a visitor. Someone who came just for me, worried about my well-being, worried about my disappearance, someone who missed my face. You! You have a heart of gold, and you are kind and considerate. This is a little something I wish to share with you.'

Inside the envelope were the bank account details, the same to which she was depositing the money. Thank you for searching for me. Use it wisely!
