The Darker Side Of Old St.Nick

It truly is the thought that counts

It's quiet, is somebody there?

Is anyone beneath my stairs?

Snow is falling

Winter is here

Is that St. Nicholas

That I hear?

A Little elf invades

My home

May perhaps

He's just a gnome?

He creeps around

While I'm asleep

If he gives

What does he keep?

Nothing is ever

given free

I wonder what

The trade must be?

He gives me gifts

And I give back

A covert

underground attack

Who is this in the

velvet suit?

That has the bag

Which has the loot

He lies and tells us

It's all free

But certainly

This cannot be

Oh little man

That leaves me stuff

Maybe it's time

To say "enough"

My children are

Already blessed

While you bring them

An immoral test

We learn greed

"It's for religion"

But maybe it's

A bad decision?

To commercialize

What should be love

Wake up!

Open up your eyes

Santa Clause is

Just a lie

Not HO, HO, HO

But more, more, more

I'd like to exchange

My presents

For peace and love,

An evanescence

So don't leave

Gold beneath my tree

It just goes to the banks

You see?

I only wish for

Essential thing

But not what

Santa Clause will bring
