HomePoetry StoriesDid I hear your echo

Did I hear your echo

I played my guitar, but my fingers started to bleed

I let them heal the smallest price to pay

But those chords cost and cost

I broke her string

Then sent a new line up the vine

That one broke too

For my whole life is just a splinter of pain

It is my tao

A curse of usefulness

Though you think my words have sounds

They are just an echo

You did not trust me enough

To speak
