Dreams - Adrian Gabardo

There are no more tears,

Just sorrow and regreat.

The darker it gets,

the shinier the smallest rainbow.

The unfulfilled dreams aren't gone,

but instead a memory of lost chances,

of not taken opportunities.

The burning knife cuts are small,

they heal in no time,

but when all of them sting,

the heart suffers in pain.

The time killed,

slowly kills my life.

The days spent sighing,

now blow on your face.

The rebel soul,

always deeming defiance,

now bows to the king of shit,

in a desperate need for redemption.

All the shame and disgust,

you imposed,

is now put on the same hands who threw it.

The unfulfilled dreams aren't gone,

just a memory of lost chances,

of not taken opportunities.
