Finding one's self

I am not a monster.
I am not evil.
I am human.

I do not walk on water.
I walk on dry land.

I may lose my way.
I may stumble and fall.
I may look for the right path.
I may scream and shout for help ....... with only silence as an answer.
I may look for a burning bush to guide me… only to find, at best, smoking embers.

All I can do is to pick myself up and dust myself off.
All I can do is to see where I find myself and what paths lie in front of me.
All I can do is to see where I've been and seek the right path for me now.
All I can do is to choose a path and start walking again.

It may not be the path I once was on. But who's to say it's the wrong path for me.

I am not a monster.
I am not evil.

I am human. Flawed, yes. As so were many, even some revered, men before me.

But I am human.
