Liar

A poem inspired by my own relationship

You said you'd wipe my tears
 if I cried
 You said you'd fix me
 if I broke inside
 But guess what? You lied

You said you'd catch me
 if I fell
 You said we'd make it
 through this spell
But guess what? You lied well.

You said you'd be there
 if my eyes got wetter
 You said you loved me
 in that love letter
But guess what? You lied better

You said we were stronger
 than the rest
 You said we were forever
 as you kissed my breast
But guess what? You lied best.
