The thunder roars so very loud

Then the rain comes down so hard

The wind blows so suddenly

 The tornado is near you fear

You reach and cover your ears

Trying not to show how scared you are

All eyes are on you

And you smile to let them see

 You are brave and you expect them to be

You have already explained

But you do it again

We are safe but ready 

If things get bad

 Jokes are told

And songs are sung

Till the last of the noise 

 Are no longer heard

Things are calmer

You made it fine

Till the next clap of thunder

The next storm comes by

Then the principle announces

Back to your safe place

You and the children dive
