My brain turned off Friday night, and I started doing better this afternoon. Taking it easy and had fried rice and Cajun chicken to eat.

The Cubs won today to win the series against the Baltimore Orioles. At least that made me happy.

I am depressed. 30 years ago was the Oklahoma City bombing. I was a first responder on the scene. I was stationed at the Naval Reserve Center, and we sent several personnel with the proper experience and skills to the bombing scene to assist in search and recovery. It took me almost a decade to get over that, and even today it still haunts me.

😢 A horrific tragedy like that couldn't be anything other than depressing, especially for those, like you, who were directly involved. It has to be haunting and I have no idea how you cope. 😢

My statement was a little misleading. After rereading it, I stated, "30 years ago was the Oklahoma City bombing." The bombing took place on 19 April 1995. 30 years ago, is when the bombers were indicted on 10 August 1995. Sorry for the mix-up. My brain wanders between thoughts sometimes. Reading an article about the indictment pushed my brain back to that terrible day in April of that year.

No worries. I knew it was around that time, at least that it happened after I got married in 1993, so I wasn't going to question it.
