Cabin. With my back, not sure tenting is for me.

Mountains, mainly because lakes breed insects, lots of insects.

Hard to choose... I would pick coffee in the morning and tea afterwards.

Bicycling - single or tandem

Single. I have a hard enough time by myself without having to coordinate with another. 🤪

On a trip: See the sights or shop and eat/drink?

Definite, see the sights. Drinking has never been a big draw for me, even when I was younger. (Like to keep my wits about me!)

Tour on your own or as part of a tour group with a guide?

Done both, enjoy both, but having a guide definitely helps, esp. in a country where you don't speak the lingo (e.g. my current trip to Greece). OTOH, being on your own gives you a lot more flexibility.

Tour one country in depth or do a "grand tour" of a continent or region?

One country at a time, please. Immerse yourself. Do the non-touristy, country-side stuff and get a real view and flavor of the country you're visiting. Avoid the crowds if at all possible.

Wine or Beer?

Wine. Not much of a beer fan. Had a few glasses of the local stuff in Greece. Also some ouzo but that's another story.

Phone cam or actual camera?

Use my phone for now, mainly for convenience. Modern phone cameras are getting more sophisticated so less important to have a stand-alone camera with all the attachments.

White wine or red wine? (Do your pair yours with the meals?)

I'm mostly a red person. I have had wine both with meals and just as a drink. Had some nice Greek wines while over there the past couple weeks.

Rake the leaves or leave them where they fall to rot?

Rake in front yard and back yard next to house. Leaving them on ground in back yard further away, under the trees. Helps sustain the soil.

Prune bushes or let them grow?

Depends on the bush and where it is. For instance, the yews under our front window need a haircut at least once a season or they block the casement window (not that we open that one much).

Gas mower or electric?

Electric with rechargeable battery. Has to be cordless. (Same with snow blower BTW)

Fenced-in or open yard?

Mine is partly fenced in. No fencing or gates at the front (which would change if I had a pool or dog).

Write a bunch of short stories or a novel?

Short stories. Novel would require more concentration than I believe I'm capable of right now.

Actually book or E-book?

I mostly read e-books these days. With arthritis in my hands, big thick blocks of paper aren't the easiest thing to handle anymore.

Listen to an album or listen to a mixtape/playlist?

I have musicians I listen to regularly and listen to most of their albums. My musical interests, however, are mostly baroque and classical periods with occasional forays into rock and country, mostly 60s-80s, as that is what my parents listened to, and it has grown on me. Also, like music from the 'big band era', like the Dorsey Brothers, Benny Goodman, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, and Louis Armstrong, the last three jazz greats.
