Memo to self: If you're writing a purported sequel/continuation of an older story, reread the older story first. Yeah, I reread Night of the Wind this morning AFTER writing 4000 words of the new story and realized I'd messed up on a few details.

Kettle's on and I got a new shipment in from my tea vendor. Anyone else for a tea?

This is worthy of knocking your head against the wall five times. Not more because it was "a few details". That must be fixable to a brilliant author like you. Piece of cake.

And I would love a tea that isn't high octane. Say, a blackberry tea perhaps.

Thank you, but as a fan and social media follower of some truly incredible writers like Neil Gaiman and Ramsey Campbell, I would hardly call myself "brilliant". Yet.

The rereading of the original has actually generated a major change to the plot of the sequel(s), but it's a change that was probably needed in any case.

Can do that. I am fond of berry teas myself, both flavoured black teas and herbals.

About me and cookies: I grew up near the Dare bakery in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada, which made cookies under its own name and for various store brands. I think they were only sold in Canada but not 100% sure of that. The smell sometimes reached our house and could certainly be detected when I was riding my bike out to the local mall (the factory was on the route). Talk about hungry-making. I still think of home when I see Dare cookies (we had a bag of their maple creams at work recently).

It was a rough morning . Went to read to Scamps littlest fans and they were wound up tighter than ticks and had a bad case of the wiggles and didn't wanna sit and listen
Today is super bowl Sunday and it looks like it might be a good game
There is also the PUPPY BOWL!
today's cookies are shaped like footballs in honor of SuperBowl .
Both team colors are represented .. I didn't play favorites!

Thanks for the coffee, Bill. It's certainly a happy day in the Chiefs Kingdom. We could hear the fireworks going off around the neighborhood as soon as the game was over. Victor has no problem with fireworks.

The only other super bowl win for the franchise of Texans/Chiefs was back in 1970. So, after a 50 year break, they now have their second title. Lots of happy and patient fans, for sure.

I just found out that the patient at our local hospital tested negative for the novel coronavirus. I reported a few days ago that they were concerned and had a patient in confinement. That patient has been found by the CDC to be negative for the virus. That's good news for local folks here. I knew everyone would want to know that.

Victor is happy. He's gazing out the second story window now, wondering when we are going for a walk.

Still plenty of coffee here.

Y'all don't forget about the writing challenge Gypsy has flung upon us. Me, I have a story is the final stages of editing, rewriting and the usual ocd induced inner editor type tasks.

It's so cold outside this weather is so weird yesterday we hit 60 and now it's 31 brrrr I don't like the cold happy I don't have to go out in it.

We had a confirmed case here (one of 4 in Canada) but she was pretty on the ball and had isolated herself so no transmissions found so far. Which is good because she's a student at the local university where my wife is a prof. The other two in Ontario were married to each other. All three had just been to Wuhan so probably picked it up there. No one else tested has been positive, including others from their flights.

Still tossing around ideas for the challenge and reworking the other story I mentioned. Realized that I had kind of screwed over a main character with how I handled the first part of the story. And I like her too much to do that to her.

Tea as usual.

Good morning, y'all. Coffee's brewing, kettle's on. Mini-marshmallows restocked for hot chocolate. I'll leave the cookie jar to Sara,she's the expert, but I picked up an assortment of muffins for those seeking a late breakfast or brunch.

Pets are fed but make sure you fill their water bowls if you see them empty.

I'll just be in the corner with a tea moaning in agony (back trouble).

Ugh. Mine's not quite that far gone yet. Was bad Monday and Tuesday, better yesterday, then kinda took a swing back again to day. Still not sure what triggered this attack. Did shovel some heavy, wet snow on Sunday so maybe that.

Sarah, thank you for the cookies. I love carrot cake but have never had the cookie version. They sound delicious.

Scott, I hope your back is better soon. I have had some issues off and on with my back since a car accident when I was a teenager. It's a hard pain to get away from.

I hope everyone else is doing well.

I'm having a quiet night. It is raining again but I don't mind. Kind of matches my mood these days.

I'm catching up on some television shows I've been missing. I'll take a ginger ale and some cookies to my corner to curl up in a comfy chair.

Hi, Gill! Nice to see you. I am not really sure what this traces back to. I have a few bouts of back pain due to various injuries, mostly lifting-related, over the years so probably more cumulative than anything.

Coffee and kettle are on, folks. And there's still plenty of Sara's cookies to nibble on.

The friend that was suppose to take me is waiting to see if she has to drive to pick up her husband since he's having trouble with his truck and is 3 hrs away. So kind of in a holding pattern with my day.

I'm on my afternoon green tea. A Japanese sencha, probably my favorite variety of green.

Starting a new draft of my story. It's going ... well, but I added a bit of a B plot that I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with. Just happened spontaneously.

I'm still full from dinner. I made chicken gyros, with homemade pickled red onions, radishes and tzatziki sauce. I also made oven-baked seasoned french fries.

Now I need to figure out tomorrow's dinner and for every day for the rest of my life. It gets tiresome.
