This place stays pretty clean. We don't get a lot of visitors yet so it's easy to do a quick dustup before making the coffee. I do see a lot of cookie crumbs on the floor. All cleaned up now.

The coffee is fresh in a few minutes and the water is ready for a boil.

howdy folks
I do take cookie requests!
A large tea pretty please.
Did chores and just worked on some things this morning
Did some baking so that's why I'm late with the cookies.
*filling big bird with oatmeal raisin cookies,, pecan divines, peanut butter and cranberry cookies and almond crunch cookies *
*filling cookie monster with oatmeal raisin cookies, blueberry crunch cookies, butterscotch crunch cookies and ginger snaps *
*giving fresh water and treats to the adorable mascots *

My GP saw my MRI, decided he sees nothing wrong and is sending me to an orthopedic doctor for a second opinion. Sometime next week.

I've got my sights on a therapeutic massage once a week to solve my problem.

Morning, y'all. Approximately a million thanks to Sara for the oatmeal raisin cookies.

Larry, glad I am to hear you got good news from the sawbones.

Scott, what you've done to this morning's pot of coffee is, well, let's just say it's commendable. (Don't want the boy to get the big head) ;)

At the moment, I have half a mug full of tolerably warmish coffee but no oatmeal raisin cookies. Please pardon me while I correct that imbalance.

Howdy folks grommit

A quiet day so far on my mountain.
Quiet is good with all the recent stuff with my mom.
Working on some things now that the dust has settled I might get something finished.
I did bring cookies *looks at the empty jars* good thing too. Looks like we have some cookie bandits running loose around here *giggles*
For big bird we have :blueberry cranberry cookies, oatmeal raisin and orange fudge cookies
For cookie monster we have :chocolate chip cookies, oatmeal raisin and tropical angel cookies(tastes kind of like a pina colada without the alcohol)
Cookie jars filled and the adorable ones have fresh water and treats.

Hi Sara. Friday is winding down and the weekend looms.

Cool Ape story of the day: Yesterday on my way to work, Ape, Jr. texts me asking me to tell his mother to watch for a delivery (I have no idea why he didn't email her). I was puzzled. There was no special occasion like a birthday or anniversary happening. Finally at dinner time, Forest of Flowers delivers a lovely vase of roses and baby's breath. The card says that he realized while doing housework how much she had done for him and he wanted to thank her. You know, if you'd heard the two of them going at it when he was in high school, you'd never expect something like this. Apparently, we did something right in his upbringing.

Coffee's on. Strangely enough, all the scrum-del-e-licious oatmeal raisin cookies have vanished. (sigh) The good news is there WERE some rather good crumbs in the bottom of the cookie jar. Observant Spacers will have noted that use of, past tense. ;)

The coffee smelled good coming into the coffee house this morning. Nice cuppa for sure. It is definitely getting into spring weather outside. Now we just need to have the flowers burst out and give us something to drive around the country looking at and feeling good.

The news is so scary... The coronavirus and the tornado that tore through Tennessee my heart goes out to all those dealing with it.

Just tonight we have heard about a confirmed case of novel coronavirus in the county just east of us. It was discovered in a lady around 50 years old who self-diagnosed and did all the right moves. She called her doctor and did not go to him in person. She was tested quickly here in Kansas where we are more civilized than the silly federal govt. She is quarantined in Johnson County that is in the Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri metro area.

I am in Douglas County. Nothing here yet. We just need to take simple precautions.

So far this is the first confirmed case in the state of Kansas. I read that the first case is almost positively confirmed in Missouri, in the St Louis area this evening.

I will try to keep folks informed.

There is 5 confirmed cases in Arizona. 2 in Maricopa county and 3 in Pinal County both counties are about 4hrs and 22 minutes from my little mountain

28 cases, all confirmed, in Ontario but most are in the Toronto area so well away from me. We had one here but she was the third in the province and has long since been declared recovered and virus-free. All cases in Ontario have been traced to overseas outbreaks. No community transmission yet.

This latest plague from China is scary, but what is really frightening is the guy in the White House directing the US response. I'm in the Phoenix area, about four hours west of Sara. Since she is much better informed than me, Ilet's designate her our Arizona reporter. ;) sad

A large ginger ale please. Feeling horrible today woke up sick as a puppy dog. It's either the flu or strep and my money is on strep since it hurts to swallow
Good thing I made a double batch of all the cookies yesterday so the cookie jar is still full

I spent the day sleeping. I'm just curl up in a chair in the corner.
