*The latest update on my momma... She's alert, did a nuclear test on her heart muscle when results are back they will call with them. She is breathing on her own and sounds good on the phone*

Seems like we inspired Stories Spacers are all getting a late start. But better late than never, thus sayeth the old cliche'. That is especially true when there are cookie jars filled with Sara's cookies and both the coffee pot and tea kettle are ready to provide their own variation of caffeinated fluid to go with dem cookies.

A beautiful day here
My mom is doing great.
Thank you all for thinking of her and keeping her in your prayers the next step is that she will have a pacemaker put in tomorrow and will need to take time to heal. So please keep her in your thoughts for a speedy recovery.
Went with my friend Dodie to do some shopping for her family reunion and that was a fun time since I was relaxed. I got a few cute things
We had a good time plus we needed a little retail therapy.

In the skimpy, C19 fun news category comes the following:

Burger King Italy has playfully added another layer to social distancing with the debut of a new Whopper , triple-loaded with onions, to keep others at a safe physical distance amid the pandemic.

I'm here to report that there is hot fresh coffee and water for DIY tea plus a generous supply of Sara's cookies -- that is except for the oatmeal raisin. ;)

Finally back home, where I can drop by and say Hi! My Pear tree blossomed on time this Spring but my dogwoods are all just blossoming now, and my apple trees have just began to blossom. With all the rain the past few years, just about my entire tree cove has doubled in height! No exaggeration. I am hoping to put in some poplars and maples. Then I will have a nice tightly cropped mix of about 6 deciduous and 2 conifer,types. The first six types are tightly planted to insure competitiveness for sunlight. The reason for it is to produce trees with the harder wood than trees that are spaced on a tree farm.

latest update on my momma . Her surgery was a huge success and now she is resting comfortably. The pacemaker should keep her ticker in check a long recovery ahead
Please keep the people of the state of Virginia in your thoughts The southwest side is dealing with lots and lots of flooding someone said its worse than the one in 1985

It's a Bank Holiday this side of the pond, but no special commemoration, just a rather uninspired 'Late Spring Bank Holiday'! Not very spring-like today as it's cold with gale-force winds!

How y'all are? Always a good day when it begins with and early morning visit from our Henrietta-unit. Someday, someone might be able to clue me in on the backstory of 'Bank Holidays'. No doubt it's tedious and boring but then so is my life story. ;)

Not sure about the UK but in Canada, a "Bank Holiday" is when government offices and regulated corporations, like banks, get a holiday but the rest of us do not. Schools often get them, too. For instance, at Easter, Good Friday is a a statutory holiday, meaning everyone gets it off, but Easter Monday is a bank holiday, meaning government offices and schools are closed, but most everything else is business as usual.

My mom is resting comfortably and wanting to go home already and the doctor said no way Jose
So she is there atleast thru the weekend. She's in good spirits just misses her little dog

I have cookies today
In Big bird we have strawberry and vanilla pinwheels, oatmeal raisin, ginger lemon and carrot cake
In cookie Monster we have :strawberry and vanilla pinwheels, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter blossoms and blueberry crunch cookies

It is a beautiful day outside even if its a little windy.
The usual Memorial Day celebration in my town were cancelled because of the coronavirus but people seem to be finding their own way to celebrate the fallen.
I think the neighbors are planning a BBQ.

I have extra special Memorial Day cookies they are decorated with the uniforms of the branches of the US military. They are diabetic friendly.

And since you finished off the pot of day-old coffee, I'll rinse it out and fill it with some off-brand coffee Mr. Mendalla left under the counter. Pristine 'Inspirations' water has been added to the coffee pot and the tea kettle.

Ventured out to go look at plants and flowers with Dodie... She needed an out of the house excuse her hubby is making her bananas he still hasn't gone back to his normal work hours so he's home til Friday.
She bought 3 Begonias and they are so so pretty

My mom is doing great the doctor is keeping her a extra day just to make sure everything is humming along.

Not much else going on. Doing some writing and need to catch up on my reading.

Good morning, all. The coffee is freshly brewed with Arabica. And, of course, we have plenty of hot water for the tea drinkers here.

I was ecstatic yesterday when I came up with a fix to my computer. I had already made an appointment to have it worked on at a business over in the Kansas City metro area. Anyway, it is working now. I keep forgetting how dependent I am on this computer working right.

Glad I am to hear your 'puter has gotten back on the straight and narrow. Someday, I'll get a VA BROS (blind rehab outreach specialist) to stop by and set up my new computer which remains boxed and waiting to be assembled in a VA approved manner. This here 'Lockdown' is a drag. ;)

Update on my momma: My mom is home and resting comfortably but the hostipal won't be used again they sent her home too soon and with a broken hip so its gonna be a long road to recovery and having to get outside sources involved. But she is doing alright keep her in your thoughts

So we have a new 43 inch television. To go with a new internet and television service being connected this morning whenever the technician arrives. It is just so very complicated for me.
